Synopsis
Jack awakes, encased in a coffin shaped pod, on a thin ledge in a giant cavern. The last thing he remembers is his job as manager of a care centre for people with mental difficulties. But there was a fire and some strange lights. Bright green lights that danced around in the late evening sky…
Suddenly, the ledge breaks and Jack hurtles into the dark abyss below. Falling and falling, eventually he hits the ground, but instead of smashing violently against it, he falls right through it. Then, to his absolute horror, Jack is blasted out into deep space. As he floats away, he realises that he had been inside a colossal spaceship.
Jack stirs to find himself on the beach of a volcanic alien planet. As he struggles to take in the gravity of his situation, he thinks back…
Three different stories haunt him, each with the same three characters. Harriet: a loyal friend with a dark past. Samantha: a girl with a damned vision for mankind. Floyd: a strange man, hell-bent on destroying Jack’s future. Each story has a terrifying conclusion and each has a bizarre link to how Jack got on board the spaceship. Jack realises that he must face up to the true horrors of his situation and find some way to get back to his beloved Mandy, who holds the key to what has really happened.
But Jack is stuck on an alien planet, millions of light years away from Earth…

Synopsis
The final weeks of the year 1999. Best selling author Martin Harris, his success torn by personal tragedy and haunted by unquiet spirits, finds his latest novel, Written in Blood, coming to life in bizarre and frightening ways. A series of murders paralleling the events in his imaginary story grips London. He is a suspect and is at odds with the Police; his only supporter is his one-time girlfriend Caroline, a psychiatrist.
Concerned about the state of Martin's mental health, Caroline defends him from his pursuers even as she herself begins to suspect he might be unbalanced enough to be guilty. Events begin to conspire to throw him into personal and official troubles on an ever-increasing spiral of tragedy.
A series of prominent figures representing the virtues that keep society stable are being eliminated; Innocence, kindness, security, faith, charity and hope. Martin maintains it is a repeat of a similar series of murders that took place one hundred years before; a series that was never completed and one he fears may this time doom our future.
As events plunge ever deeper into mystery, murder and suspicion, Martin and Caroline must seek out the final resting place of a long-dead serial killer whose spirit haunts the present, and whose demonic plan will drive the world into chaos and death. Together they will learn that they hold the key to the final virtue which will complete this fiendish pattern and bring turmoil to the world. They must defeat him before the chimes of midnight herald the end of both the millennium and their chances of redemption.
